Getting to the origins of pain may mean delving deeper than where you’ve previously allowed yourself to go. I EXPERIENCE ANXIETY OR DEPRESSION AND DOCTORS ONLY OFFER TO PRESCRIBE MEDICATIONS: 

You experience anxiety and/or depression that sometimes disrupts your ability to live your life. You have heard that thoughts may affect how the body feels but you could use some help to learn how to address deep-seated emotions held in the tissues. Most of your caretakers mainly recommend medications, and you are concerned about becoming dependent on them.  

You are looking for some really effective natural solutions for your well-being. 

HOW I MIGHT HELP:

Releasing the issues in the tissues can be a slow, step-by-step process but most often clients feel uplifted starting from their first experience under my care. We can start to connect by phone, email, or text. If we choose to work together, the health history form is the next step to assess the severity of the emotional/mental symptoms. If there is a chemical imbalance contributing to the anxiety and/or depression, I provide effective therapies that are truly healing and not merely suppressing symptoms or adding toxic substances into your body. If medication for these concerns is necessary, my treatments will help support the body & mind and augment whatever protocol you are on. Since body & mind are one, a multi-dimensional approach is important in order to fully address the problem. All my services address the accumulation of stress which when given the chance and with the right aids, enables the body's wisdom to re-emerge When imbalance due to emotional and mental stress creates problems in the body, the therapeutic focus is then directed toward bringing clarity and recognition to the issues-in-the-tissues in order to disentangle the pattern. We store our life experiences in our body and thoughts and emotions are one with our biology.  The mind operates on the conscious, unconscious, and subconscious levels and thoughts and emotions are simply energy that should just flow through us and out.  Many of us don’t want to be aware of all that we carry or we can only function with the operating system which we currently have running.   Sometimes we are at a deficit of experiences which give us that glimpse into a higher state of being or what it would feel like to live a life that is driven by either consciousness or soul purpose as opposed to our impulses and basic Instinctual desires.   The quality of the mind and our current level of consciousness also determine whether we react happy truly or respond responsibly to the stress in our lives. So, we may be very attached to our demoting habits and there are many factors that can seem to work against us.  Holding on to thoughts and emotions can lead to energy blockage and stagnation which causes problems.  Safe, nurturing therapeutic touch is a corrective experience for trauma or stress held in the tissues.  The touch bridges the mind and emotions as does the use of breath, sound therapy, dialoguing with the problem areas in the body to learn what they have to reveal - all of which usually helps move the stuck energy along. I would enjoy the opportunity to teach you how to move the emotions through the body solely as the energetic messengers that they are and to choose thoughts that are in harmony with the body.  The therapies, recommendations, and practical tools available in my practice help you replenish and sustain your own internal structures and develop your capacity to interpret the deeper messages of your emotions.   Some folks need more help than others and the treatments help them recover from illness and disease, while others come for tune-ups to keep things running smoothly and maintain a higher level of well being.  Recognizing that the work is most effective when we are open and receptive, anyone who is open to what I offer and ready to up their self-care would benefit from working with me. I NEED HELP RECOVERING FROM

INJURY OR ILLNESS: 

 You are recovering from covid, or other illness, injury, or hospitalization.  You feel weak, lethargic, have some edema (tissue-swelling), digestive distress, and a feeling that your body is holding on to toxins.  You want real relief and some really effective things you can do on a daily basis and gain momentum towards moving yourself in a good direction.

HOW I MIGHT HELP:

Medical Massage is a term used to differentiate a therapeutic approach that addresses root cause of problems in the body compared to massage which does not necessarily have a therapeutic intent or focus. I practice several modalities that utilize a medical framework. Some examples may include but are not limited to Oncology Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Complete Decongestive Therapy, and Pregnancy Massage. When health and mobility are more compromised it's important to include therapeutic massage and bodywork in the treatment plan to help keep the tissues healthy. There are hands-on modalities that can be safely integrated even in critical care. The treatment plan may also include gentle home-care instruction, detoxification, rejuvenation, movement therapy lessons, and lifestyle and dietary consultation for deeper levels of healing. I set out from the beginning to align my practice within a medical / health-care scope and my training and professional choices have deliberately followed the healthcare trajectory. AND SPIRIT : 

You’ve taken several yoga classes and loved the practice, but the classes focused only on the body and the postures, not the spiritual side of yoga. You want to integrate the spiritual, emotional,

and physical at once.

 HOW I TEACH YOGA & MOVEMENT:

Yoga is union between all aspects of self and between the microcosm and the macrocosm. No yoga is complete without developing these relationships. Kundalini yoga contains all eight limbs of yoga starting with Yama and Niyama, the 5 restraints and the 5 disciplines. Any system of living has its do’s and don'ts things that you want to get rid of and the things that you want to cultivate. It is a way of living deliberately. Continually choosing behaviors and attitudes and activities that serve our highest good rather than keeping us locked in loops of habits which prevent us from moving forward and really living a life of fulfillment and gratitude. If you are wanting the full yogic experience, I will do my best to guide you on your spiritual quest.

I AM NOT SURE WHAT I NEED: 

You are not really sure what you need or what you are looking for.  You have been going along at status quo for quite some time but life changes cause you to feel less secure and you’re not sure what to do about it.  You have a vague sense of these therapies but there is so much false information to sort through and it is confusing to know what is right.  You are not very connected with your body and moving around is more difficult lately.

MY SUGGESTIONS AND CONSIDERATIONS:

It’s good when life provides us with endless opportunities for learning and growth. When we suffer losses, if we believe we lack the coping skills to navigate the loss or the change, the bounce back ability of our nervous system is hindered especially in cases of trauma and shock. We may become numb. The key is preserving a healthy mind and body as we navigate transitions and transformations. Studies have shown that setting and achieving goals leads to more satisfaction and contentment in life. Maybe these questions can help you get clear about what you need and help you set some goals. 1.What would it feel like to be truly at home in your body? 2.What concerns you most about your health? 3.Do you sometimes struggle to maintain the health you do have? 4.Are these concerns related to your physical, emotional, or mental health, or a combination of all three? 5.How fully and deeply can you breathe from the belly? 6.Can you let go, relax, and sleep peacefully? 7.Do you stay engaged and informed to world affairs in a healthy way knowing when to disconnect from the consumption of ongoing news about what next to fear with covid, or the endless litany of threats in the world? 8.How can you transition from seeing the world as unsafe, and sick to moving into well living? 9.What is it that you are not willing to see about a troubling situation you are dealing with? 10.What is it that you are afraid to admit or see clearly? 11.Do you know how to heal, really take care of and love your body, to be at peace in your mind, to understand symptoms and emotions as messengers, to raise your own energy level without the use of medications, to direct your life towards real empowerment and wellness? One of the main intentions behind the services I provide is to create a container of support that will allow you to respond to the deeper needs you are trying to remedy through habits that feel ok in the moment but may not support your highest good. Working with each individual through Massage and Bodywork, Ayurveda, Yoga & Movement - I learn about myself, I learn about other people. It’s nurturing and self fulfilling. People get results from my work. They come to me for stress relief or pain relief and they get immediate results - naturally. There are many health professions, but very few can claim this. It’s very satisfying to see people walk in who are stressed out, in pain, can’t move their shoulder, their neck, or any part of their body and they leave much better. My own personal healing experiences in my own body and mind propelled me to study with master teachers such as those in Ida Rolf's lineage in my foundational program of Body-Oriented Psychotherapy / Structural Integration. I believe that whatever we do, when we do it with love, it unifies and heals ourselves, others, and the planet. Love, therefore, is the most essential ingredient not only in the therapeutic relationship, but in all relationships. I love what I do and my goal in working with each individual is not only to alleviate symptoms, but to help renew and even transform one's relationship with life. What's In A Name?

Some people are confused by my having two names and do not know which name to
use.  Perhaps this will help to clarify:

​My relatives call me Annamaria, but I prefer that my friends, clients, and students call me 
"Jai" or "Jai Kaur". 

​My birth name Annmarie San Antonio was the good name I was given and used until 2005 when I recieved the name “Jai Kaur“ as I completed Level I 
Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training.

The meaning of “Jai Kaur“ as given: “The Victorious Goddess who walks powerfully and gracefully through her life“, motivates me to
keep up with my practice !

Choosing to name my practice Jai Kaur Healing Arts magnifies and expands this vibration that
reflects my destiny.
